Welcome to the site of You Choose 2008. This is a Christian site that is dedicated to bringing the truth of the Gospel to you as well as bringing you the critical information that is needed to make an informed decision in voting. This site is Pro-God, Pro-Christ, Pro-Life, and Pro-Truth. There will be many controversial issues on this site but we are dedicated to bring you the truth on these issues from Gods perspective. The main reason why this site was formed and why we intend to deal with controversial issues on this site is because of God's love for all of us. Luke 8:17 tells us that there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be brought out into the open. The reason for this is because God is trying to get us to repent and turn away from the sins that we commit. And if He has to bring it out into the open for all to see, then He will. He does this in the hope that we will turn away from our sins and turn to Him and be saved. Another of the reasons that this site was formed is because of the controversy over the 2000 and 2004 Presidential Elections. Many have stated the President George Bush was given a mandate because of his victory. It needs to be said that President Bush has been given no more of a mandate than any other man or woman that has ever been born. That mandate is found in Micah 6:8 He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?

This is the mandate that all men and women will be held accountable for. It is a mandate that requires that all men and women make godly choices. And it is a mandate that if violated, will bring judgment. President Bush is no different than any other man or woman who will one day find themselves face to face with God. If President Bush or anyone else holding any office or position of authority violates this mandate then they will one day face God and will have to answer for violating that mandate. God has blessed this nation far beyond what He has blessed most nations. The bible tell us that to whom much is given, much is required, Lk 12:48. America has been the recipient of freedoms that most of the world has only dreamed of. However there are those at work that are attempting to destroy those freedoms. There is one thing that God requires from all that have enjoyed such freedoms. That is to act responsibly with those freedoms. We are required to make godly choices. Choices that are responsible and acknowledge Gods word. When The religious leaders brought an adulterous woman out to Jesus, He confronted them about their own sins. But something else happened that we do not hear much about. Jesus also confronted this woman about her own lifestyle when he told her to go and sin no more. We will be held accountable for the choices that we make that are ungodly. And our leaders, both political and religious, that make ungodly choices, will also be held accountable. This means that they may be dealt with in the same way that God dealt with Ahab and his priest.

1 Kings 18:20-40

²⁰ So Ahab sent for all the children of Israel, and gathered the prophets together on Mount Carmel.²¹And Elijah came to all the people, and said, "How long will you falter between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him." But the people answered him not a word.²²Then Elijah said to the people, "I alone am left a prophet of the LORD; but Baal's prophets are four hundred and fifty men.²³Therefore let them give us two bulls; and let them choose one bull for themselves, cut it in pieces, and lay it on the wood, but put no fire under it; and I will prepare the other bull, and lay it on the wood, but put no fire under it.²⁴Then you call on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the LORD; and the God who answers by fire, He is God."
So all the people answered and said, "It is well spoken."
²⁵Now Elijah said to the prophets of Baal, "Choose one bull for yourselves and prepare it first, for you are many; and call on the name of your god, but put no fire under it."
²⁶So they took the bull which was given them, and they prepared it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even till noon, saying, "O Baal, hear us!" But there was no voice; no one answered. Then they leaped about the altar which they had made.
²⁷And so it was, at noon, that Elijah mocked them and said, "Cry aloud, for he is a god; either he is meditating, or he is busy, or he is on a journey, or perhaps he is sleeping and must be awakened."²⁸So they cried aloud, and cut themselves, as was their custom, with knives and lances, until the blood gushed out on them.²⁹And when midday was past, they prophesied until the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice. But there was no voice; no one answered, no one paid attention.
³⁰Then Elijah said to all the people, "Come near to me." So all the people came near to him. And he repaired the altar of the LORD that was broken down.³¹And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, to whom the word of the LORD had come, saying, "Israel shall be your name." ³²Then with the stones he built an altar in the name of the LORD; and he made a trench around the altar large enough to hold two seahs of seed.³³And he put the wood in order, cut the bull in pieces, and laid it on the wood, and said, "Fill four waterpots with water, and pour it on the burnt sacrifice and on the wood."³⁴Then he said, "Do it a second time," and they did it a second time; and he said, "Do it a third time," and they did it a third time.³⁵So the water ran all around the altar; and he also filled the trench with water.
³⁶And it came to pass, at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near and said, "LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that You are God in Israel and I am Your servant, and that I have done all these things at Your word.³⁷Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that You are the LORD God, and that You have turned their hearts back to You again."
³⁸Then the fire of the LORD fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench.³⁹Now when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said, "The LORD, He is God! The LORD, He is God!"
⁴⁰And Elijah said to them, "Seize the prophets of Baal! Do not let one of them escape!" So they seized them; and Elijah brought them down to the Brook Kishon and executed them there.

Do not get it in your mind that this is what we should do to people that we consider sinners because we are all sinners and it is because of Gods grace that any of us can enter into heaven. But Jesus told those that where in the Synagogues that He did not come to abolish the law but to fulfill it. There are to points to this. First it means that Jesus paid the ultimate price for our sins. All we have to do to attain forgiveness for our sins is to except what He did on the cross as payment for those sins. Secondly, this means that those that do not believe in Jesus Christ as their personal savior and does not acknowledge Christ as Lord of there lives have placed themselves under the Old Testament law and when God decides to deal with them, He will. This is a sad thing because Christ came so that all mankind can be saved. But we have to make the choice. That is what freedom of choice really means from Gods perspective. We don't know the hour or the day of Christ return, but we can be sure that the time is near. Until Jesus does return He expects us to be diligently working to make America a godly nation and to be a light for the rest of the world so that they can see Christ through us. Many will resist and they will seek to persecute those that spread the Gospel. But that is something that Jesus has told us will happen. We must be united in our stand for Christ. For those that choose to ignore the call that Christ has given us, they will make their choice without any excuse that will stand before God. Groups such as the ACLU, Pro Abortion groups, Anti Family groups, Homosexual groups, Religious groups that misrepresent Gods word, and any other group that has decided to take a stand against God will come face to face with God and at that point will be standing without Christ interceding for them. That is what the bible tell us and we need to be reading for ourselves just what it tells us. The bible commands us to do so. We cannot assume that the world is going to be truthful with us about Gods word because it is not. Jesus loves you and me. He died on the cross for you and me. He gave Himself up to the cross so that you and me can make the choice of receiving Him as Lord of our lives. He came down from the cross and took His rightful seat in heaven so that He could intercede for us in heaven. He expects you and me to be responsible in make godly choices in our lives. That includes choosing leaders that are godly men and women. Leaders from America and throughout the world will be held accountable for choices and actions that are ungodly. They may think that they can hide their thoughts and deeds from God but He knows what is in their hearts. Just as He knows what is in our hearts. We have had radical judges, that have been used by the same groups as mentioned above, making ungodly decisions that they believe should be the law of the land. There is one law that supersedes any law of the land. And that is Gods laws. These groups have been seeking to eliminate the teaching of the bible in America and throughout the world.

Romans 1:18-32

¹⁸The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, ¹⁹since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. ²⁰For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities–his eternal power and divine nature–have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

²¹For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. ²²Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools ²³and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.

²⁴Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. ²⁵They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator–who is forever praised. Amen.

²⁶Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. ²⁷In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

²⁸Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. ²⁹They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, ³⁰slanderers, Godhaters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; ³¹they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. ³²Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

The Ten Commandments where not something that God took lightly. They where for our protection that God gave them to Moses. He knew however that mankind is not capable of living up to such standards because of the sinful nature that has taken root in the hearts of mankind. That is why Jesus had to die on the cross. There was just no other way to save the creation that God loves so much. But again, it is a choice that we must make in order to spend an eternity with God in heaven. For those that think that God is going to allow sin back into heaven after He kicked Satan out I urge you to read the bible and find out for yourselves. You may be shocked by what it has to say but if it is truly Gods word then can you afford to let the world lie to you. Your eternity depends on the choice you make.

I want to make somthing very clear to everyone that calls themselves a Christian. The mandate that was mentioned above is not something that should be taken lightly.

Micah 6:8 He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?

Many leaders have abused the authority that has been given to them. Caesar was one that knew all to well how to beat the drum of patriotism.

"Beware the leader who bangs the drums of war in order to whip the citizenry into a patriotic fervor, for patriotism is indeed a double-edged sword. It both emboldens the blood, just as it narrows the mind. And when the drums of war have reached a fever pitch and the blood boils with hate and the mind has closed, the leader will have no need in seizing the rights of the citizenry. Rather, the citizenry, infused with fear and blinded by patriotism, will offer up all of their rights unto the leader and gladly so. How do I know? For this is what I have done. And I am Caesar."

God will hold all accountable that have abused the authority that He has given them. As I stated earlier, this includes all political, religious, and judicial authorities. This also includes all men and women that hold any sort of position of authority, weither you are a Christian or not. There is a saying that says "All it takes for evil to flourish is for men of God to do nothing". I will add to that by saying this. All it takes for America to fall into this trap is to allow the politicians on both sides of the isle to continue to pull the wool over our eyes. The only way that any of us can see through the propaganda is to find out what Gods word says. You cannot do this by just listening to what someone will tell you about what the bible says. You have to read for yourself. For those of you that call yourselves atheist,
well, I'm afraid that I have never heard of a death bed atheist. Sooner or later you will come face to face with your existence. My prayer is that all that refuse to acknowledge Christ as Lord will do so before it is to late. Because of what Jesus did on the cross you do have that freedom of choice. The freedom to do what is right before God. And that, no man or woman can ever take away from you. No matter what country you live in. Hitler used fear to control those that he could control including those Christians that feared him more than God. Jesus said, "Fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." Jn 10:28. Only God has that power. The bible tells us that there is only one God. It also says that there is only one Lord and Savior and that is Jesus Christ. There have been many who have claimed that they where the Christ or that they come in His name. But their friut has been that of Satan and they have decieved many. I urge you to Choose You This Day who it is that you will serve. As I stated in my article, Out Of Control Judges, there are only two kind of alliances. Those formed in heaven and those formed in hell. Those that have decided to reject Gods plan for salvation have decided to form their alliance in hell. Jesus died and rose so that we can align ourselves with Him in heaven.

Is there any wonder why the ACLU is so supportive of Planned Parenthood. In his book, "Killer Angel", George Grant tells us how Margaret Sanger felt about sex with the youth. NAMBLA's slogan of sex before they are eight goes hand in hand with how she and her contemporaries felt about this issue. Child pedophiles are on a warpath against the youth of this world and groups like the ACLU and Planned Parenthood are doing everything in their power to protect the so called rights of these pedophiles.
God says that it would be better for those that hurt His little ones if they had a large millstone tied around their neck and where tossed into the ocean. Matthew 18:6 The same thing goes for those who protect those that would harm God's children. Both Democrats and Republicans are guilty of corruption and immorality. They have both violated the Constitution for their own self serving purposes. There is an attack on Christian values and the government is now in the business of crime. They have attempted to eliminate the Ten Commandments and have passed tens of millions of there own commandments which has made criminals of law abiding citizens. Christians have become complacent just like they did in Germany before Hitler came into power. If America does not wake up the same thing will happen. Laws are being pushed which go against Gods laws. If this continues then the same thing that happened to Sodom and Gomorrah will happen to America. If the Christians of this nation do not wake up and stand against the killing of the unborn and the sexual immorality of NAMBLA and other sexually immoral groups then America deserves what it gets. There where those that where upset at Jerry Falwell for his comments after 9/11. I'm afraid that Jerry Falwell was right. But he left out the church. The church is just as guilty for the sins that are taking place in our nation. We compromise and hide when the heat is turned up. That compromising and hiding is going to place those in the church in Hell with the rest of those that reject Christ. We are there to be a light and to speak all of the truth of the Gospel. Not just what the politically correct world wants to hear. Because the politically correct world is on the road to Hell. We are commanded to do everything we can to get them off of that road. Not lie to them and tell them that it is OK to continue to live in their sins. So the church needs to wake up or we will find ourselves on the outside looking in. Many have called Hitler a Christian. I think history has made it is obvious that he was nothing but a bigot and a murderer. Many have called Margaret Sanger a modern day hero of the womens movement. I think that it is obvious that she was also nothing more than a sexually immoral bigot and a murderer. Much of this site is dedicated to bringing you the truth about these people and their contemporaries. The evidence is there. God calls those that deliberately close their eyes to such things, willfully ignorant. In other words, when you do nothing to stop any atrocity that is committed you are just as guilty of those atrocities as those who commit them. God sent His Son to save the murderer, the homosexual, the liar, the thief, and everyone else that has sinned. But if you choose to continue to live in your sin there is no salvation. Satan uses groups like the ACLU and Planned Parenthood as well as many churches to destroy lives and keep people trapped in their sins. Many refuse to admit that God exist. This is because that by admitting that He does, there is accountability for their actions. Jesus died so that they don't have to be accountable. So why are they still denying God?

So what does God have to say about an unborn child?

1. In Luke 1:36 we read that Elizabeth had "conceived a son." Notice that the "product of conception," as pro-abortionist would call "it," is simply called a "baby."

2. In Matthew 1:18, 23 and Luke 1:31 Mary is said to be "with child." This fulfilled the prophecy found in Isaiah 7:14 The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son.

3. When Rebekah conceived twins, it says, "the children struggled together within her..." (Genesis 25:22)

The unborn child is also referred to as a separate being, apart from the mother.

1. The unborn child is able to sense such feelings as "joy," etc. Luke 1:44, 45 Elizabeth's "baby leaped in [her] womb for joy."

2. The unborn baby, independent of the mother, made movements ("leaped") – so "it" cannot be reduced to merely a "part of the woman's body" – a necessary step in reducing the issue to that of "a woman's right."

3. When Rebekah conceived, "the (twin) children struggled together within her..." (Genesis 25:22) They "struggled," not she. This reinforces the fact that the unborn child is a separate being apart from the mother. (See also Romans 9:10-11.)

And in Jeremiah 1:5 God states that the child even has a soul. "While you were being formed in the belly of the womb," God told the prophet Jeremiah, "I knew you and ordained (intended for) you to be a prophet to the nations."
